Extraordinary Story Of The Locked In Boy: Daily Mail
Jonathan Bryan can’t walk or hold a pen. He needs to be given oxygen to breathe and can’t move his mouth well enough to chew food. But five years ago the 12-year-old learned to communicate using just his eyes.
And to the surprise of even those closest to him, it turned out he had an awful lot to say.
Sometimes he composes poems or stories, other days he tells his story to politicians, royalty and famous writers. He’s a pint-sized campaigner for the rights of the disabled and also an occasionally cheeky young man.
‘Can you imagine hearing people chat about you as if you’re not there?’ asks Jonathan. ‘I was listening, waiting to be heard.’
