Co-Founder and Co-MD
I’m an award-winning journalist and creative business leader with 30 years’ experience with major broadcasters at home and abroad. Between 2010-2014 I led the BBC Television Production studio, who create and deliver some of the world’s biggest shows, and prior to that I was President of US cable network, Travel Channel Media, introducing shows like Emmy award winning ‘Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations’ and global hit, ‘Man v Food’. At BBC Sport, I led the transformation of 6 Nations rugby introducing prime-time kick-offs and the 'Super Saturday' climax. I am currently a Non-Executive Director at ITV Studios and a Fellow of the Royal Television Society.
I’m the little fella in the pic. The tall fella is former Formula One World Champion Graham Hill father of Damon. The photograph was taken at Oulton Park Circuit around 1972. A promising career in motor racing came to an end aged 7 when I woke up! The dream of playing for Leeds United or Swansea City didn’t last long either although I did manage some matches for Pontardawe in the Welsh League.
After all of that I started working in the media industry as a runner on drama docs. From there the journey has taken me to BBC twice, S4C as Head of Sport and Head of Broadcast, and back to programme making which is what it’s all about. I produce and direct multicam coverages especially live sport and SP various Fact Ent formats.
It’s great to work with Cardiff Productions as a freelance SP on Am Dro and it’s certainly allowed me to follow my key principles of creating content that excites, entertains and educates, and enjoying working as a team.

I love painting furniture, or anything I can get my hands on, a nice coffee, dancing in the kitchen (or anywhere), going to rugby matches and swimming in the sea. Anything fun, I’m there!
I’ve worked in development for the past two years, and joined Cardiff productions from Knickerbockerglory TV where I developed a range of factual content from Dr Amir's Sugar Crash (C5) to Inside the Mind of Agatha Christie. (C5).
Before working in TV, I developed branded factual content and before that, worked in marketing strategy.
I have a History Masters from Cambridge and love to develop anything with a historical slant.
I am an experienced production manager of factual programmes who has just ventured into the freelance world after ‘growing up’ in the BBC for the last 20 years!
I‘m looking forward to new opportunities, meeting new colleagues as well as reacquainting with some old ones on the ‘outside’!
